Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Declaration Officer at Rolie, located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Declaration Officer will be responsible for preparing and submitting necessary documents for custom declarations. The role includes verifying and validating all export and import documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and liaising with customs officials and other stakeholders to resolve any issues. The Officer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, as well as staying updated on any changes in customs policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing and submitting custom declarations and other relevant documents
• Knowledge of customs laws, regulations, and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for documentation and record-keeping
• Ability to work independently and maintain strong organizational skills
• Experience in logistics, international trade, or a similar field is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field
