JOB DETAILS:
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage the full cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and monthly/year-end closings.
• Oversee and manage the timely reconciliation of company bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Monitor and review cash transactions, maintaining accurate records of cash flow and ensuring proper documentation for all cash-related activities.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the junior accounting team, reviewing their work, offering support, and fostering their professional growth.
• Collaborate with factory accountants to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial data related to manufacturing processes, inventory management, and cost analysis.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, providing senior management with valuable insights for decision-making.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and presenting actionable insights to senior management.
• Coordinate and assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks.
• Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations and procurement, to ensure financial data accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
• Manage tax compliance and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Stay up to date with accounting principles, industry trends, and changes in relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree as an added advantage).
• Proven experience of a minimum of 5 years of working experience in Accountancy or a similar role within manufacturing companies.
• Candidates should have CPA / ACCA.
• Hands-on experience in accounting software e.g., ERP 9, TALLY, etc.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices.
• Experience in bank and cash reconciliation, financial reporting, and budget management.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with acute attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Sound understanding of tax regulations and compliance procedures within the mining sector.
