Vaidam.com is a medical travel assistant company that connects international patients with doctors and hospitals for treatment at affordable prices. We also offer concierge services to travelling patients and companions.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Tanzania for patient relations and business development. The candidate will manage patient relations and supervise business development activities. Day-to-day tasks will include lead generation, market research, communication with patients and doctors, and managing customer service.

Position: Patient Relations/Business Development

Experience: 1–5 years of experience in the healthcare, hospital, Tourism Sector

Education: Any Graduate or Postgraduate in Healthcare, Hospital, or Medical

Must have:

  • Good understanding & Knowledge of Hospital Operations
  • Must have the ability to work alone and with small teams.
  • Must be flexible to travel within Tanzania.
  • Fluency in English, any locally spoken Language

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Generate revenue by providing greater awareness and information of our services.
  • Meet the top decision-makers and market services of the company to prospective partners.
  • Expand the offline network for Vaidam in Tanzania. Meet referring partners (doctors, hospitals, dialysis, physiotherapists, etc.) and bring them into the Vaidam referral network.
  • Assist Vaidam with organizing on-ground activities in Tanzania: Medical OPD Camps, CME, Surgical camps, Networking dinners, etc.
  • If required, travel to neighboring countries to expand the Vaidam network.
  • To also maintain cordial relations with Hospital, Doctors & various Departments at all times for smooth patient care when needed.
  • Assist patients who are seeking treatments in other countries.
  • Experience working in a hospital or clinic environment and understanding medical terminology is preferred. A bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field is required for this role.
