Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Bakery Chef at Shoppers Supermarket Limited in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Bakery Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods such as bread, cakes, pastries, and desserts. The Bakery Chef will ensure that all products are made fresh and in a timely manner, and will also maintain quality and consistency in all baked goods. The Bakery Chef will work closely with the entire kitchen team to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bakery Chef or similar role
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Creative and innovative mindset for creating new baked goods and improving existing recipes
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in culinary arts or a related field is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to handle pressure
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
