Role Description
• This is a full-time on-site role located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania for an IT Support and Virtualization Engineer with a focus on virtualization storage and AWS certification, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our internal and client-facing systems. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills, the ability to swiftly grasp and address a diverse range of technical issues, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a focused team. Our engineering team emphasizes compliance-oriented methodologies, and we value attributes such as teamwork, composure under pressure, and adaptability.

Duties And Responsibility
• Virtualization within our datacenter environment, with a specific focus on virtualization storage.
• Tasks will encompass the establishment and maintenance of VMs hosts, oversight of the virtual infrastructure, and the provision of technical support.
• The engineer will be expected to possess fundamental system administration skills in both Windows and Linux environments. Proficiency in Oracle VirtualBox and Proxmox and other Type 1 and Type 2 Hypervisors will also be crucial for diverse virtualization environments.

Qualifications
• Minimum of two years of experience in a data center or a comparable environment.
• Expertise in back-office solutions, IT architecture, and familiarity with cloud-based offerings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Certification in virtualization storage.
• AWS certification.
• Proficiency in VMware ESXi and vSphere.
• Proficiency in Oracle Virtual Box and Proxmox.
• Proficient in the installation and configuration of physical servers.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing physical servers.
• Proficient in Hyper environments.
• Basic proficiency in Linux system administration.
• Basic proficiency in Windows system administration.
• Experience with PowerCLI.
• Experience with vCloud Director.
• Experience with vCNS or NSX.
• Experience with MS SQL.
• Basic IT certifications.
• Ability to work with people of all backgrounds
• Keen attention to detail

• Good communication skills both oral and written – English and Swahili
• Strong interpersonal skills
