The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA)is a member of the COMMONWEALTH TELECOMMUNICATIONS ORGANISATION’S(CTO) on behalf of the United Republic of Tanzania. Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) on their search for a Secretariat Manager to be responsible for the effective operations and administration of the Office of the Secretary General (OSG). This role is offered at their London office.
The role is located in the London office, 5 days a week. The CTO will be able to consider supporting sponsorship and or visa for the right candidate if they are a national from one of the CTO’s 33 member states.
The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation is the oldest and largest Commonwealth membership organisation in the field of information and communication technologies. Today, the CTO plays an integral role in providing 21st century thinking, knowledge, understanding and leadership to its members, helping them to shape their digital futures. They are fully involved in the development and use of digital ICT for social and economic development and are at the forefront of the ICT revolution in order to deliver significant benefits to its members.
Reporting to the Secretary General (SG), this is a pivotal post to support the OSG in Executive Committee and Council governance related activities, as well as to communicate with CTO members and external stakeholders on behalf of the SG and assist in coordinating the activities of the Secretariat. The Secretariat Manager will manage the Secretariat’s records and Secretary General’s expenses, while also organising dairies and travel itineraries and providing administrative continuity when the Secretary General is absent. The post holder will lead the development, implementation and continuous review of all OSG related strategic and operational plans, ensuring the OSG administration areas are focused on supporting the achievement of strategic targets.
To be successful, you will need to have experience in an executive support environment and specialised knowledge of corporate governance support. We are looking for a candidate with meticulous attention to detail, impeccable oral and written communication skills, and a flair for report-writing and presentations. The post holder must possess a thorough understanding of legal processes and knowledge of ICT. You must also have excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, as well as the ability to adapt to and work with integrity and excellence in a dynamic multi-cultural environment in a variety of diverse situations and with multi-cultural individuals and groups.
