About the job

We’re seeking an experienced FileMaker developer. the FileMaker Developer will work on developing advanced solutions that are innovative, world class and support growth and revenue generation for the company.

He/she thrives on pushing the boundaries of solution development, working with multiple technologies like JavaScript, PHP, SQL and platforms like HubSpot, Google Workspace and Zapier, with a keen understanding of UX/UI challenges and an eye for pixel perfect detail. He/ she is self driven but wants to work within a team, collectively solve problems and deliver solutions that users will enjoy working on every day!

Main responsibilities (not limited to)

• Design and build applications inline with software design and programming principles
• Translate user stories into tasks
• Accurately estimate effort and deliver results to agreed deadlines
• Conduct functional and non-functional testing
• Troubleshooting and debug applications
• Write technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code
• Evaluate existing applications and perform updates and maintenance tasks
• Write JavaScript components for use in Web Viewers

Essential skills and experience required

• Proven experience working as a FileMaker Developer (3+ years) in an Agile Scrum environment
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and understanding of technical concepts and challenges.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Fundamental understanding of UX and UI design
• Exceptional understanding of relational database design & FileMaker context
• Knowledge of software standards such as REST, JSON, XML, SQL
• Experience developing JavaScript components for use in Web Viewers (experience with React is a plus)
• Experience with Zapier or other workflow integration services
• Experience with HubSpot Enterprise and/or Google Workspace Enterprise integrations is a plus
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and understanding of technical concepts and challenges
• Experience with deploying and supporting FileMaker Server and the FileMaker Data API
• Familiarity with FileMaker Server Deployment and data migration
• Claris Developer Certification (post FileMaker 18)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
