JOB DETAILS:
Epic Haulage Company Limited (EPIC) was established in 2019 as a private company limited by shares in Tanzania. Towards this mission the Company provides logistic services through air, sea and road.
We are currently searching for experienced and motivated individuals to cover the following positions:

Procurement Officer

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the procurement of goods or services and ensure the process is aligned to Epic Haulage Company Limited policy and procedures.
• Perform sourcing, liaising and actively negotiate with vendors to ensure competitiveness and value for money for Epic Haulage Company Ltd

• Oversee tender processes and ensure alignment to Epic Haulage Company
• Assist management on monitoring contracts implementation on a regular basis and ensure any breaches (from a commercial point of view) from the terms of agreement are properly addressed
• Stay up to date and assess industry trends with market availability to determine appropriate pricing
• Interact with functional leads in identifying business needs, develop sourcing plans and gain benefits of early procurement involvement
• Work closely with the finance team throughout out the procurement cycle to assist with forecasting and budgeting
• Participate in preparation of Epic Haulage Company’s procurement plan
• Participate in preparation of a weekly, quarterly performance report

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or Supply Chain and Logistics
• 3+ years experience in Procurement in a reputable organization
• Knowledge in transportation company will be advantageous
• Buyer experience in a computerized environment and knowledge of procurement applications
• Fluency in English (oral and written) required
