Reports to:  Managing Director

Job Summary:

Zonal Sales Manager will oversee sales activities within a defined territory and manage sales representatives and distributors.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hires and trains sales representatives and stock distributors in assigned territory.
  • Organizes sales schedules of assigned staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Sells the company’s products in an assigned territory.
  • Creates zonal sales plan and quotas in alignment with business objectives
  • Monitors existing customers and regularly communicates the customers (distributors).
  • Works to establish new distributors in the territory.
  • Supports Sales Representative as well as Distributors with day-to-day operations
  • Advices Management about new product with innovative techniques to increase customer satisfaction
  • Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Meets regional sales objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Ensures sales team as well as Distributors achieve sales target set forth by the Company
  • Works towards increasing sales growth in the territory at an established rate determined by Sales Manager.
  • Assists with the coordination of sales efforts for other territories and sales representatives.
  • Ensures Company vehicles in his Zone are in good conditions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/ Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Five years of sales experience in FMCG required.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel daily and spend most of the day in a vehicle.
  • Valid driver’s license and no major driving violations.
