About the job
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations. These operations include shipping, inventory, delivery. Your goal will be to increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of Parts
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance.
- Receive Parts accurately and report any discrepancy and follow up for compensation and updating in the system.
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
- Ensure parts received are binned immediately in their respective Bin locations. One part per bin
- Ensure all branch and dealer orders are handled within the same day.
- Coordinate and organize staff team into a seamless flow of work in the warehouse.
- Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
- Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status and part reordering.
- Ensure that adequate stock is maintained and avoid over / understocking. Order parts based on movement projection and lead time
- Generation of Reports and lost order recording
- Ensure that only authorized personnel access the warehouse.
- Ensure proper custody of parts and security with zero variance on every stock count done.
- Ensure cleanliness in the warehouse.
- Ensure that only authorized personnel access the warehouse.
- Coordinate activities of all warehouses under your jurisdiction as above and ensure all Process /Procedures are followed as per the policy,
- Coordinate activities in all warehouses and optimize operations.
- Report to the General Manager on any unusual development noted in the warehouse.
- Undertake with diligence any other role assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Logistics, Supplies and Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting.
- Five Years of experience in the Warehouse management
- Good in Communication skills in both Swahili and English.
- Good Computer knowledge especially Excel
