We are seeking a skilled Treasury Accountant to join our team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing the company’s cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk to ensure liquidity and support strategic financial decisions.

• Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Must hold a CPA(T) or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in treasury operations and cash management within a reputable organization.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

The Treasury Accountant will be responsible for the following tasks to ensure efficient financial operations:

• Prepare and monitor daily and monthly cash flow forecasts to maintain adequate liquidity.
• Oversee the efficient management of company bank accounts to support operational needs.
• Manage interest and debt analysis, providing relevant reports and insights as required.
• Ensure full compliance with loan and debt covenants in all company transactions, maintaining a zero-default record on all loan and debt obligations.
• Verify and reconcile cash transactions, investigating discrepancies and proposing resolutions.
• Ensure all cash and banking transactions comply with Treasury policies and Bank of Tanzania (BOT) regulations.
