ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Technical Recruiter in The ROOM, you will be our young tech talents’ thought partners, guides, connectors and greatest cheerleaders. By partnering with them to map out their ambitions and connecting them to life-changing opportunities, you will put your efforts and passion into helping them reach their full potential.
In this role, you will be at the core of The Room’s impact. While managing a portfolio of ~200 young tech talent, you will help them access the most exciting and career-propelling opportunities. From employment to mentorship, coaching, and public speaking engagements, your role will be to accelerate our young talent's development journey towards achieving their life’s mission.
The Technical Recruiter role is a dynamic one that will challenge you to exercise a broad set of skills on a daily basis. On one day you might find yourself leading one on one conversations with your talent, providing continuous support and guidance; channelling your inner coach. While on the next day, you will need to show up as a forward thinker and innovator who can easily connect the dots between talent’s aspirations and The Room’s offerings, scouting relevant opportunities, events and resources that would benefit them.
With The ROOM’s talent at the forefront of everything a Technical Recruiter does, the role will also require exceptional employer partner management. You will be responsible for connecting with employers through our talent, conducting negotiations with employers and developing long-term relationships with them. Having a knack for business development and account management is key in your role as a Technical Recruiter.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to display creativity, innovation, thoughtfulness and your customer-centred spirit to ensure we design a highly personalized experience that delights our fellows throughout the year. You will also be in charge of developing feedback loops capturing relevant information to continuously improve our talent and employer experience and the quality of service delivered.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of work experience in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, Account Management, Relationship Management, Business Development, or Talent Management in the Tech industry
- Be located in one of our 8 markets: Accra, Addis Ababa, Cairo, Casablanca, Johannesburg, Kigali, Lagos & Nairobi
