PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The purpose of the role is to support and assist exploration drilling shift supervisor on the day to day
drilling technical activities including driving in accordance with standard work procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Secondary School Education Certificates/Diploma or Above
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1 year working experience in geology or mining environment.
One Must posses Tanzania driving license and be able to drive Light Vehicle.

MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Determine what could go wrong and what needs to be done to work safely before starting a task and
- help others to work safely.
- Identify, understand, and address safety hazards and risks related to the task.
- Learn and execute the Safety practices required for the task.
- Continually look for new hazards in the workplace and report them to Supervisor.
- Promptly report all injuries, illnesses, and incidents
- Suggest ways of improving Safety performance within Geology department
- Speak up if he/she thinks that the task cannot be done safely and courage to talk to Supervisor
- he/she thinks of being unable to work at his/her best.
- Lead Samplers and Assistants on exploration drilling, field work drill pad supervision, & sampling
- Demonstrate ability to use GPS for navigation and basic knowledge on map reading for locating
- geological points.
- Demonstrate ability to prepare daily work reports and proper handover at end of the shift.
- Conduct core logging (Geotech A)
- DD sampling and RC sampling on drill site or core shed.
- Drilling & field work support (transporting drill crew, consumables, sample from drill site, dill pads
- crew and geological mapping teams)
- His safety output is on making sure department has zero harm.
- Drill rig supervision all drilling time.
- Ensuring all drilling consumables are available all time.
- Teams are transported and available on time at drill site and drill pads without delay time.
- LV is up to GGML mobile equipment standard and road worth.
