Job Summary:

• The Plantation Manager will be responsible for raising quality planting material, managing the
• planting, and maintenance of teak and sandalwood plantations in a large farm in Tanzania,
• East Africa. The Manager will be required to manage 200 laborers and 10 subordinates.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure production of quality planting material.
• Manage the planting, raising, and maintenance of teak and sandalwood plantations inTanzania
• Monitor and ensure the health and productivity of the plantation addressing issues
• related to pest and disease management, irrigation, and fertilization.
• Manage a team of 200 laborers and 10 subordinates.
•  Maintain up-to-date records related to plantation inventory, soil test results, planting
• and harvesting activities, pest and disease monitoring, water management, and financial records.
•  Prepare reports for senior management and provide recommendations for improvements to plantation management practices.

•  Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture/Forestry/ Plantation management
•  Minimum 3 years of experience in managing teak and sandalwood plantations.
•  Age below 45 years.
•  Proficient in English and Hindi languages.
•  Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
•  Must be willing to work in Tanzania, East Africa.

Salary per month : USD 1000 to USD 1200 USD
