Join us on our journey for a better tomorrow.In this role, you have an opportunity to create a better tomorrowAs Strategic Procurement Manager, your mission is to leverage the purchasing power of the different factories of Scientific Vacuum by coordinating negotiations, building great tools and accelerate the learning of the local teams. Dare, care, share.

• You leverage the divisional purchasing power by combining the purchasing quantities and capabilities of the different factories where possible, coordinate divisional negotiations where appropriate and take the lead in supplier development projects with critical shared suppliers.
• You support the local teams in six different locations globally by building a knowledge database for our categories and supply base, by assisting in building and updating their category plans and by assisting in preparing their negotiation plans and strategies.
• You drive system and process improvements in coordination with the other divisions of Vacuum Technique Business Area.
• You drive common processes, KPI’s and reporting tools in sourcing, review the local logistic and supplier quality processes and cooperate with the local procurement manager to come to lean and agile processes.
• You play a key role in the development of the sourcing strategy that will support the future Scientific Vacuum Development manufacturing strategy.
• You support the development of a proactive sourcing organization by reassessing the role of sourcing in product development projects, facilitate early engagement of suppliers in technology and product development and ensure procurement involvement in building the technology roadmap. Assess and close gaps between current supplier capability and future technologies/ trends.

To succeed in this role, you'll need

• You have a proven track record in procurement with relevant work experience of 3+ years.
• You support the slogan ‘Dare, care, share’ and can teach, and motivate colleagues in procurement trainings
• You are capable to develop processes and tools and can coordinate efforts across multiple entities and departments.
• You are driven to get things done and have no issue in regularly travelling for business.
• You are curious and explore new technologies in the search for process improvements.
• You have excellent English language skills.

Your LocationWe are a global team that works in a hybrid model, with locations in Belgium, India, Czech Republic, Germany and UK. So we are flexible, with your location.
