Job Function
Responsible for maintaining inventory integrity through standard daily routine and process and maintain optimal stock and manage store staff to ensure satisfaction of Engineering and others department and enhance the quality of the service that is currently held by Store.
Key Performance Areas:
- Meets store operational standards defined by contributing store information to strategic plans and reviews; resolving problems; identifying store system improvements.
- Provide daily cycle count support including report run, count, data entry and reconciliation.
- Monitor and track physical inventory throughout the store.
- Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
- Ensure protection of stock item from dust, damage, corrosion
- Manage required inventory by ensuring monthly physical counts, variance reconciliation etc.
- Manage potential and actual material shortages through established processes,
- Ensure priority handling of short material from Purchasing.
- Identify and document critical spare parts inventory
- Edit ageing report to identify slow moving item
- Edit monthly reports to evaluate main Store performance
- Meets store financial standards by contributing to providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- To liaise with others to seek clarifications and solutions for major issues related to the inventory management.
- To liaise with accounting to provide assistance in resolving discrepancies, invoices, delivery notes & Purchase orders
- Regularly liaise with Procurement and workshop representatives to discuss issues related to parts and supply.
- To assist managers on routine jobs, identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations to line manager
- Perform inventory random checks, monthly checks and annual checks and report discrepancies.
- Review existing stock policies with reference to history of use and lead time for all new items created.
- Monitor variations in inventory valuations, determine reasons for variance
- Prepare Store for annual stock tacking and assist as required
- Manage the Store Section, and report section related issues to Procurement Manager
- Supervise and monitor the staff quantity and quality of work, attendance, overtime and leave schedules
- To follow health, safety, security and quality procedures of DP World in his work and support all Sustainability project.
Qualifications Required:
- Bac 4 or 5 on Management supply chain, logistics or identical training
Skills and Experience Required:
- 5 years lead level Store Management experience in a large-scale organization
- Experience of Ports and Terminal will be an advantage
- Excellent Planning & Execution Skills
- Team Leadership
- Command on ERP/Maximo
- Well versed with Inventory Management Techniques
