THE ROLE
The TestRail Solution Architect reports directly to the Director of Marketing to help build our brand among the testing community and ensure customers get the most out of TestRail. As our internal subject matter expert, your scope of work will have multiple fronts: from staying up to date on trends and best practices in the testing field to providing guidance to existing customers, to working closely with internal teams to improve overall knowledge around testing and quality. Ultimately, your activities will help shape everything from the way we market TestRail to how we define the future of TestRail and test management.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop a close connection with the testing community, by attending conferences, writing papers, and advocating for the TestRail product
- Guide our existing customers and prospects via 1:1 interactions (i.e. customer calls) and 1:Many interactions (i.e. written guides, tutorials, video demonstrations, forum threads, etc.), improving their agility and supporting them to reach deep levels of test automation
- Support the onboarding of new customers to TestRail
- Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to drive design, implementation and documentation of test/quality methodologies that enhance existing test practices and improve overall product quality
- A degree in Computer Science / IT or a related field
- 5 years of professional experience as part of a test team with bonus points for experience helping to implement test automation
- Experience with testing practices and methodologies and their implementation
- Background in continuous testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Familiarity with different test management software tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience presenting complex topics in an easy-to-understand format, often delivering presentations to large groups
- A curious, analytical and creative mind with the ability to consider problems from multiple perspectives and present the pros/cons of different solutions
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience using TestRail
- Familiarity with leading development tools (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.)
- Strong connections within the testing community
- Regular participation/attendance in testing events
