JOB DETAILS:
Six Rivers Africa (SRA) is a non-profit organization with a mission to protect, restore and preserve flora and fauna in wilderness areas for future generations; and improve quality of life for communities living adjacent to protected areas. SRA is launching a SRA Training Academy (SRATA) to provide hospitality training to young people living at the border to Ruaha National Park.

SRA is looking for a Service Bingwa / Butler to deliver butler services for organization’s guests and also be assistant trainer for SRATA, actively teaching and demonstrating to the students how to deliver high quality guest experiences in the service department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Butler Duties:
• Provide personalized service to lodge guests, anticipating their needs and ensuring a memorable stay. o Manage guest arrivals and departures, including luggage handling and room preparation. o Serve meals and beverages, ensuring a high standard of presentation and service. o Coordinate and manage guest activities, excursions, and special requests. o Maintain discretion and confidentiality, respecting the privacy of high-net-worth guests. o Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of guest areas, ensuring a pristine environment. o Liaise with other lodge staff to ensure seamless service and address any guest concerns promptly. o Manage the lodge’s wine cellar and provide expert recommendations to guests. o Have a thorough understanding of food and beverage.
• Keep up to date on all hotel and lodges policies on safety and hygiene.

Assistant Trainer Duties:
• Support the Senior Trainer in delivering training programs for butler students at the hospitality training academy.
• Assist in developing and updating training materials, curricula, and assessments.

• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to students, demonstrating best practices in guest service.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and additional support as needed.

• Assist in organizing and conducting practical training sessions and workshops.
• Foster a positive and professional learning environment for all students.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• Proven experience as a Butler in a high-end hospitality setting, preferably with experience serving high net worth individuals.
• Strong background in hospitality and customer service, with exceptional attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and students from diverse backgrounds.

• Experience in training or mentoring roles is highly desirable.
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive guest information. o Ability to work in a remote, bush environment with a flexible schedule.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Knowledge of food and wine pairings is a plus. o A butler must have high level routine of personal hygiene.
