Who are we looking for?
We need an experienced full stack engineer to accelerate the development of our platform and flagship dashboard application. We expect you to play a particularly outsized role in API design, specification, and implementation, so we value conceptual rigor and aesthetic sensibility in addition to stellar technical skills. You'll also have plenty of additional opportunities for a variety of challenges across our stack, non-exhaustively including: distributed machine learning pipelines, video file and stream handling, open source client libraries for our platform, and ground-up development of client applications.
Responsibilities
- Design RESTful APIs for interacting with the Vidrovr platform and lead their implementation and maintenance
- Design well-normalized SQL tables backing key systems
- Develop tools and patterns for workloads across the backend
- Work with frontend engineers to develop and implement coherent workflows, translating requirements into API spec and implementations
- Work with machine learning engineers to develop distributed applications
- Pinch hit with devops to make sure the right infrastructure exists in the right place
Required profile for job ad : Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)Qualifications
- 5+ years as a full-stack engineer
- Demonstrated experience designing, writing, and maintaining REST APIs
- Python fluency
- Deep knowledge of common, relevant Python libraries, particularly Pydantic, Sqlalchemy, Sanic, Celery, Requests
- Javascript/Typescript proficiency
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue or React
- Familiarity with message broker patterns for distributed processing
- Experience with relational databases (ideally Postgres)
- Experience with in-memory caches (ideally Redis)
