Senior Sales Manager (Mobile)
Purpose
To lead and manage the overall business operations of the Tanzania market in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives, ensuring performance targets across sales, profitability, and cost efficiency are met. This role requires deep market analysis, effective channel and retail development, and execution of localized marketing and product strategies. The position also involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to strengthen market presence, grow brand share, and drive sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Tanzania business operation plan based on the company's annual objectives. Take full responsibility for achieving yearly performance targets, including sales revenue, gross margin, net profit, and cost control.
- Conduct regular market intelligence gathering locally, tracking and analyzing competitor products, pricing, market activities, customs clearance, and logistics. Based on this, develop and adjust product strategies and pricing systems in line with the company's current product offerings to ensure target achievement within specific market segments.
- Formulate and execute local marketing plans aligned with company strategies and resources, covering BTL promotions, ATL campaigns, digital media operations, GTM planning, budget review and control, to ensure marketing efficiency and goal fulfillment.
- Establish a robust local channel structure, define and execute monthly Sell-Through (ST) plans, and drive brand share growth across IR, OR, and online channels. Ensure the retention of existing product market share while expanding the share of new product categories.
- Based on national circumstances and company requirements, develop and manage controllable retail points, set up dedicated product zones, ensure per-store output, and formulate incentive policies to improve product coverage and SO (Sell-Out) velocity at retail terminals.
- Gain deep insights into local consumer demands and competitive dynamics.
- Collaborate with the product line team to provide suggestions for localized product planning and improvements (e.g., screen size, battery capacity, network compatibility, etc.).
- Participate in business development and relationship building with local telecom operators, supporting cooperation in areas
Requirements/ experiences:
- Mobile Sales experience 8-10 years
- Deeply explore local market demand and assist the product line in optimizing product strategies;
- Lead the development and refined management of channel and retail systems to improve terminal coverage and market share;
- Drive breakthrough collaborations with telecom operators to expand sales channels;
- Build and manage the local sales team to enhance execution and market responsiveness.
