This is a full-time remote opportunity open to candidates based anywhere in the EMEA region.

About the Role

As a Remote Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles in a dynamic financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, records, and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support audits and reporting.
• Monitor financial transactions and perform variance analysis.
• Generate financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to internal controls.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in financial services.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax requirements, and reporting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other EMEA languages is a plus.
