Purpose

The Sales and Marketing Executive is responsible for driving business performance through proactive direct selling, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel and apartments ensuring occupancy and revenue targets are achieved

• Responsible for  driving room and other service sales for the hotel
• Identifies and plans around new markets and business opportunities to increase sales
• Represent the Hotel in various events and exhibitions
• Implements all sales action plans as outlined in the marketing plan
• Conducts daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
• Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long term business relationships.
• Initiatives and implements marketing plans and activities including generating proposals, writing contract, customer correspondence, conducting presentations, etc
• Supports hotels service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
• Works closely with General Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels
• Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings
• Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Compiles sales and marketing reports as per requirements

Prerequisites:

• Proven success in a similar or related role in hotel industry with 3 to 4 years of work experience
• Excellent customer service
• Knowledge of sales and marketing especially in the hotel industry
• Results driven with high attention to details
• Polished personal presentation with warm, confident and hospitable personality.
• High school leaver or diploma holder with significant training in sales & marketing for hotels
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili
• Diploma any field, hotel and tourism added advantage
