Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Senior Sales Executive with experience in the import and export industry to join our team. The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and managing key accounts in the import and export sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of international trade dynamics.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the import and export industry through market research, prospecting, and networking activities to expand the company's customer base and revenue streams.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in the import and export sector, including importers, exporters, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales plans and initiatives to achieve sales targets, penetrate new markets, and maximize sales opportunities in the import and export industry.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's import and export services, including shipping, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and logistics solutions, to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and competitive advantages of the company's import and export services.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to secure profitable business agreements and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Forecast sales volumes, track sales performance, and generate regular sales reports to monitor progress against targets, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, logistics, customer service, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of sales contracts, timely delivery of services, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the import and export industry to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales processes, strategies, and customer experiences through feedback, analysis, and innovation.

  • Experience in Import/Export industry
  • Willingness to travel as as in required
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, international trade, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Proven track record of success in sales roles within the import and export industry, with a demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Strong understanding of import and export processes, regulations, and logistics, including customs clearance, shipping documentation, INCO terms, and international trade compliance
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-makers, and close deals effectively
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and persuasively with clients at all levels
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes and driving revenue growth
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse market data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
