Role:
• Communicating with clients via email and phone, and in meetings in the office
• Liaising with clients, listening carefully, and designing exciting tailor-made safari itineraries to reflect clients’ interests
• Taking full ownership for and pride in the quality and accuracy of each safari you design
• Managing enquiries, tasks, and workload to maintain African Scenic Safari service standards
• Providing exceptional levels of customer service at all stages of the process – high service levels are essential at African Scenic Safaris.
with a particular focus on maximising revenue from our ongoing hotel investment
• Any other relevant duties as assigned by the Company Director

Preferred experience and attributes:
• First-hand knowledge of Safaris in Tanzania and East Africa gained from working and/or living within East Africa
• Previous experience working as a Safari Specialist
• Excellent communication skills, including pleasant telephone manner
• Strong customer service skills, with an eye for detail
• Proactive, self-motivated, and focused
• A passion for the wild and Tanzania as a whole, and a desire to become a genuine Tanzania safari expert, drawing on your own knowledge and experiences to offer clients authentic advice.
• Ability to adapt to the needs of a growing company with excellent teamwork skills
• Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, prioritisation and organisational skills Strong work ethic, personal initiative and ability to work independently
• Strong networking abilities, comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders
• Extensive and proven experience of excellent customer service, including securing and managing new business partnerships
• Good knowledge of national, regional and global tourism trends
• Experience of responsible tourism best practice, design and implementation of responsible tourism strategy
