Terms of Employment: Short Term Employment
The Ministry of Land, Housing and Housing Development announces to all Tanzanians that it has four (4) vacancies for Record Management Assistant III, in terms of temporary employment (Temporary Employment) in the Offices of Kinondoni, Ilala, Lushoto and Arusha District Land and Housing Councils.
1. Qualifications of applicants:
• Be a Tanzanian between the ages of 18 and no more than 45;
• A resident of the District where there is a job vacancy will be given priority;
• Those with qualifications and experience for this job will be given priority; and
• Be able to work without supervision. (Be able to work under minimum supervision).
2. Professional Qualifications
• Must have graduated form IV or VI and passed;
• He/she must have graduated with a Diploma in Record Keeping Studies or related from the Tanzania Public Service College or other colleges recognized by
• Government; and iii. Having computer skills in Microsoft Office programs, Internet, Windows, E-mail and Publisher, will be given priority.
3. Duties and Responsibilities
1) Maintenance of records of proceedings heard in the Council;
2) Opening and keeping accurate records of the proceedings opened in the Council;
3) Prepare and call the files to the Chairman for
4) hearing of the proceedings;
5) Entering the Council and assisting the Chairman in all matters related to records during hearings;
6) Receiving payment receipts for proceedings opened in the Council; and
7) To do other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor in accordance with the various Public Service Guidelines.
