Kairuki Pharmaceuticals Industry Limited (KPIL) is a new Pharmaceutical company which was established and registered by the country’s Business Registration & Licensing Agency (BRELA) back in 2015. The company is located at Zegereni Industrial Area in Kibaha Municipality, Coast region (Pwani). The plant is due to begin its manufacturing operations early 2021, therefore applications are invited from qualified and experienced Tanzanians in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry for the following positions:

QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER (4) POSTS

Reporting Line: Plant Manager

Job Summary

  • The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for leading the Quality Assurance team and will oversee hiring, training, developing, and leading Quality Assurance professionals to successfully deliver on role to support GMP Manufacturing and to manage change in an effective, efficient and compliant
  • The Quality Assurance Officer’s key role is to ensure KPIL products are manufactured and distributed according to Tanzania Medicines & Medical Devices Authority (TMDA) regulations. This function maintains quality compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and KPIL standard Operating procedures (SOPs).
  • The quality function also ensures the timely release of incoming product batches into the market place for sale; assisting KPIL in meeting financial sales targets and ensuring that quality product is available to

Education:

  • A bachelor or postgraduate degree in chemistry (analytical or organic) or

Biochemistry; chemical engineering; microbiology; pharmaceutical sciences and technology; pharmacology      and      toxicology;      physiology;      and      other      related sciences;

  • Knowledge in manufacturing, investigations, CAPA, product release, validation and/or change control; Practice in regulations, standards and guidelines that apply to parenteral manufacturing in a multi-product environment;
  • Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, and Quality Improvement Associate;
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Quality Assurance applications and databases;
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance;
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory

Experience:

  • Five (5) to 10 years of quality assurance or combination of quality and manufacturing experience in the parenteral pharmaceutical industry
  • A minimum of five (5) years of management experience
  • Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience;
  • Experience with implementation of corrective action programs;
  • Product or industry-specific experience; and
  • Solid experience in effective usage of data analysis tools and statistical
