Description
We are looking for a Purchasing Director (M/F) for our client, a multinational IT services company.
Mission:
- Deploy and manage a dynamic and innovative purchasing strategy.
- Develop the Purchasing vision and strategy with a multi-year roadmap to continuously feed the savings project pipeline.
- Understand global strategy to optimize purchasing and supply, in collaboration with general management and supply management.
- Build and develop the Purchasing organization, including processes and reporting.
- Ensure that procurement strategy is adapted to the company's needs: securing supplies, supporting transformation, compliance, budget and cost performance, etc.
- Ensure the proper application of public procurement procedures.
- Negotiate technical and financial bids with companies for all purchases in compliance with the French Public and procedural thresholds.
- Develop and maintain the loyalty of existing suppliers, in order to guarantee production schedules and support the R&D department.
- Manage, support and develop direct teams.
- Support the development of your teams: recruitment, skills development, HR follow-up, training.
- Take charge of purchasing and supplies for certain product families.
Required profile for job ad : Purchasing Director (M/F)
- Bachelor's degree in Purchasing Management or related field.
- +5 years' professional experience as a Purchasing Director or in a similar position.
- Proven experience in planning and leading complex negotiations.
- In-depth knowledge of categories, markets, regulations and operations in a given field.
- Solid knowledge of legal, logistics, finance and production.
- Strong analytical skills, cross-functional/process orientation.
- Mastery of the purchasing process and international flows.
- Ability to implement a large-scale transformation project and know how to interface up and down the organisation.
- Proven ability to develop relationships and influence key decision-makers internally and externally.
- Proven ability to innovate and challenge suppliers to maximise value creation.
- Highly responsive with the ability to work and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Be exemplary in leadership and encourage the team to operate outside their comfort zone by providing learning opportunities that allow them to develop.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
