The primary responsibility of the Project Manager position is to assist customers in meeting target dates of key milestones and to ensure a successful go-live of the MEDITECH HCIS.

The Project Manager helps ensure a high level of communication between MEDITECH staff and the customer through regular phone calls and on-site meetings. They will be the primary contact for customers for escalated issues and will help ensure the right resources are put in place to resolve issues.  Additionally, the Project Manager will establish relationships with the executive team at the healthcare organization and attend executive meetings and present the status of the project as needed.

Based in Dar-es-Salaam, the Project Manager provides leadership, direction and takes accountability for all deliverables within the project delivery process. The Project Manager facilitates close working relationships with MEDITECH’s Implementation team and the Client’s Implementation team. In a managerial position such as this, the Project Manager will have to make sure that members of the Implementation team are performing their jobs as per their defined roles and responsibilities within the project.

• Must have 5 Years + IT/ERP Project Management experience demonstrated by successful delivery of multiple projects in the Healthcare sector.  This is a non negotiable requirement.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license and passport and willing to travel
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Must have proven individual and team leadership skills and ability.
• Must be able to prepare project documentation, including project plans and project reporting according to contract specifications.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have a good understanding of project accounting procedures and principles including Project Cost Reporting.
• Must be able to interact at all levels within the organization and at Customers.
• Must demonstrate a responsible, motivated and positive attitude.
• Must be customer focused, display exceptional customer service skills and be able to build long term relationships with Customers.
