Reginal Project Director (PM) – Responsibilities – Tanzania
Project progress Management: As the primary owner for ensuring the delivery project progress, the PM is responsible for reviewing the project plan, ensuring the delivery resource, managing the project progress, controlling the plan deviation, and finally achieving the expected target of project duration.
Subcontractor Management: Establish the team compensation for subcontractor to match delivery plan, check subcontractor qualification, calculate their efficiency, manage their progress, escalate any delay from them and provide solution for improvement, have monthly sponsor meeting, follow up acceptance for them.
Field work management: Control quality, EHS, site sign, site verify for the project, don’t bypass any rules, involve planning, monitoring, and overseeing activities like E2E KPI
Project risks and issues management: Monitor and cope with delivery project internal/external issues/concerns/risks, and escalate promptly to Leader to ensure matters are addressed timely as to not impact schedule. Apply for and utilize the risk contingency in a reasonable manner;
Team Management: Establish the delivery project team and evaluate the performance of the team members. Works closely with leaders and technical resources to schedule and assign task related activities and responsibilities. As the owner for the project knowledge management, the PM should implement the knowledge management activities, and improve the capabilities of the project team members to address project issues.
Project acceptance Management: As the owner of the acceptance and billing, manage the Acceptance (PAC/FAC) cycle and invoice is following timeline;
Stakeholder management: Serve as the primary owner for the delivery project stakeholder management, and ensure the project communication plan is efficient and smooth;
Professional knowledge requirements:
Have deep project management background and capabilities, such as progress management, scope management, communication management, risk management, and stakeholder management, financial management.
More than 5 years of working experiences in Telecommunication and the other related fields. Serve as the PD to successfully deliver strategic, super-large, and complex projects of the company.
Basic knowledge on telecom, including Core network and equipment, Radio network and equipment, Microwave transmission network and equipment, WDM network and equipment, FTTX network and equipment.
Have knowledge of contract, finance, subcontracting, procurement, and supply.
Excellent communication skills and team management capability. Have the experience as a team leader in one team more than 10 person.
Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering and other related fields. Master’s degree is an added preferred.
Certification in Project Management (PMP, Prince2) is an added advantage.
