We are currently hiring for a Project Financial Controller to join the finance team of a reputable holding company headquartered in the UAE. This is a full-time, remote opportunity open to candidates located within the EMEA region.
About the Role
The Project Financial Controller will play a critical role in overseeing financial planning, analysis, and reporting across various investment and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, a deep understanding of project accounting, and experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced business environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial control of multiple active projects, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor and report on project financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with project managers and department heads to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze financial risks and provide strategic insights to support executive decision-making.
- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support audits and ensure full adherence to regulatory and internal financial policies.
- Drive the implementation and improvement of financial systems, tools, and processes.
- Assist with cost optimization, financial modeling, and return on investment (ROI) analysis for new initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus).
- 7+ years of experience in financial control, project accounting, or financial planning, ideally within a holding company or multi-entity environment.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial compliance standards.
- Proven track record in managing complex financial data across concurrent projects.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and business insight.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional, remote teams.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
