- Monitors daily productions and quality control performance records, identifying inefficiencies and taking responsive and corrective actions where necessary assisting in all aspects on the production floor
- Leads by example: Sets expectations for staff and monitors delegated activities
- Coordinates and monitors flow of production orders for the floor; able to forecast work and notice potential problems in workflow
- Receives production targets from shift manager, manages delegation of production tasks to team leads and line leads, and ensures proper staffing for all tasks
- Sets up for each activity according to standard operating procedures
- Works with team to ensure all product required for production tasks has been dropped to the production floor in the quantities required for the production plan
- Ensures workstations are setup for each production activity in a manner that correlates with production targets
- Demonstrates leadership during adoption of new processes continually works to identify opportunities to gain efficiency and improve quality in production
- Directs daily operations of the production team, schedule and process for maximum efficiency.
- Assists in identifying and procuring outside contractors to support plant maintenance programs i.e. equipment installations, modifications or emergency repairs.
- Monitors inventory and production schedules, checks logs, and receives incoming materials.
