Our client is Decorative Paints Manufacturing in East Africa.

Position : Product Manager

Job Location : East Africa

Key Responsibilities

i. Monitor products’ performance in the market.

ii. Oversee market research on products, analyze results and provide recommendations based on findings.

iii. Assess products and ensures they meet required margins.

iv. Create products’ knowledge in the market and innovate ways for greater acceptance.

v. Advise on continuous products improvement to increase presence and margins.

vi. Participate in new product developments (NPD) for introduction in the market to maintain market lead and generate new revenue for the company.

vii. Conduct competitors’ product analysis to monitor CPK - PLC products quality & plan product improvements (PI) to maintain the competitive edge.

viii. In conjunction with R&D, conduct trials at customers’ place for all new/existing products as required for standardization.

ix. Coordinate technical training to teams and serve as a technical mentor to sales team members.

x. Participate in the implementation of EHS / ISO and good housekeeping standards.

Desired Profile

Paint Technologist + MBA with 12-15 yrs. experience in Decorative Paint Manufacturing Company handling the entire Product Life Cycle / Product Management / Market Research / New Product Develpment & Coordination with R&D. Overseas experience will be preferred.
