JOB DETAILS:
The Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining compliance with company policies and standards. The role involves working closely with suppliers, internal departments, and stakeholders to optimise procurement processes and manage vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities
1. Sourcing and Supplier Management:
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and continuous supply of materials.

• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
2. Procurement Process Management:
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including requisitions, purchase orders, approvals, and deliveries.
• Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Coordinate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide timely solutions.
3. Inventory and Cost Management:
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for reducing procurement costs.
• Track and report on procurement expenditures, ensuring they align with budgetary constraints.
4. Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
• Prepare and submit procurement reports and documentation as required by management.
5. Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, price fluctuations, and potential supply chain disruptions.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously review and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
