The job holder is expected to:
• Participate to the development of CLIENT’S Detailed Engineering, especially as related to Process Engineering and Flow Assurance deliverables.
• Make Process Engineering input to 60% and 90% 3D Model reviews.
• Make Process Engineering input to HAZOPs
• Support to deliver operational requirements for audits (in particular Project Review PR3).
• Contribute to the integration of Flow Assurance studies outcome to CLIENT’S Detailed Engineering design.
• Participate to the development of CLIENT’S’s laboratory design.
• Participate to the definition of Laboratory analysis methods and procedures
• Participate to the development of chemical injection schemes
• Participate to the development operational schemes for the use of Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) for the improvement of pipeline operational flowrates.
• Develop and maintain P&IDs and PFDs Register (Master copy)
• Develop and maintain CLIENT’S’s master copy of Shutdown Logic Diagram and Cause and Effect Matrix
• Be focal point for the development of ‘Site Modification Request’ scheme for CLIENT’S
• Develop relevant Field Operations documents for the CLIENT’S EIMS (documents management system).
• Participate to the development of Operational procedures for start-up readiness
• Interface with other entities such as Safety, Instruments, Electrical, Telecoms and commissioning to ensure the implementation of operational requirements.
• Support the development of Process and Flow Assurance digital tools for CLIENT’S.
• Support and contribute towards operations readiness during construction.
• Support and contribute towards operations readiness during pre-commissioning.
• Support and contribute towards operations readiness during commissioning.
• Support and contribute towards operations readiness during handover.
• Support and contribute towards operations readiness during start-up.
• Support and contribute post start-up towards steady state routine operations.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
CLIENT’S project includes a 1,445km 24” oil export pipeline, 8 above ground facilities, a marine terminal with an export jetty and a serie of 60 main line block valves and +20 trace heating stations. 150km of feeder lines from Upstream facilities will tie-in to the CLIENT’S project.
The project contracting strategy entails 8 main packages to be executed through 15 different main Contracts. An EPcmC Contractor is in charge of Detailed Engineering, Procurement and construction management support interfacing with all other Contractors.
CLIENT’S direct personnel, including partners secondees will be more that 600 at peak periods during the execution phase of the project and up to 8,000 to 10,000 personnel, when including Contractors, expected to be mobilized across the various sites for construction activities.
The pipeline project will be the largest privately led with Government participation transnational infrastructure project ever undertaken in the East African region.
The context is complex with numerous stakeholders, environmental and societal / local content stakes, three partners, two involved countries new to oil development (Uganda and Tanzania), and the need for project development in accordance with IFC standards to secure the necessary financing.
DURATION / LOCATION
• Starting date: 1st quarter 2023
• Duration: Project duration until handover
• Location: CLIENT’S office in Dar es Salaam and overseas missions/sites as required
• Status: Tanzanian resident
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Engineering degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering
• Master’s Degree is a plus
• 1 year experience or internships in Oil & Gas or Energy industry
• Knowledge of Process Engineering software is a plus
• English proficiency is mandatory
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
