JOB DETAILS:
Tanzania Fisheries Corporation (TAFICO) is a Public Institution owned by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania under the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries. TAFICO is responsible for developing the fishing industry in the country by ensuring the best use of marine resources. This development will be achieved by implementing large-scale commercial fishing projects which includes Fishing in Exclusive Economic Zone, territorial water and high seas, processing of fish products, strengthening fish farming by investing in modern technologies of fish farming and fish food production. This investment will lead to the promotion of fish production in the country, provide employment opportunities, strengthen food security, and contribute to the growth of the fishing industry and the economy in the country.
Qualifications and Experience
• Holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields: Economics, Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Economics and Finance, Planning, Statistician, Economics Development, Population and Development planning, Project Planning and Management, Policy Planning or equivalent qualification from a recognised Institution. With working experience of atleast four (4) years in a related field. Must be computer literate.
