Job Advertisement – Orthopedic Surgeon and Traumatologist

 

What we offer:

- A very well-equipped orthopedic theatre with professional theatre table with extension-apparatus and C-arm (with second stand-by C-arm).

- A complete arthroscopy-tower with all tools and consumables in stock, ready to use (also here there is a spare-tower stand-by in case of defect).

- A well-stocked orthopedic store with instrument-sets and synthesis-material for almost all orthopedic operations.

- A take-home net-salary of 4,500,000 TZS.

- An additional gratification of 100,000 TZS per major operation, 70,000 TZS for intermediate operations and 40,000 TZS for minor operations.

- An unlimited possibility to operate private patients in the orthopedic theatre of the St. Clare Hospital at any time outside official working-hours for a private surgeon-gratification agreed on individually with the private patient.

- Negotiable contract-duration of up to 10 years.

What we demand:

- At least two years of professional job-experience after graduation with a Masters-Degree in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology.

- A basic training and basic knowledge of arthroscopy and the readiness to get trained in arthroscopy by senior expert surgeons.

- Working-time: Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 16.30 a.m., Saturdays and Public Holidays (which are not a Sunday) 8.30 a.m. to 13.30 p.m. Sundays off. 28 days per year paid holiday.

- Affidavit not to work professionally as medical doctor and surgeon outside St. Clare Hospital during spare-time, offs and holidays – failure to which leads to contract-termination.

- Affidavit to consult with zeal patients who can only be treated by conservative measures and pay at least 50 % of the working-time attention to such consultations and conservative measures (degenerative joint diseases, back pain, etc.).

- Superior interest and commitment in medical science and particularly into orthopedic surgery and traumatology.

- Superior ability to cooperate with other cadres and departments respectfully and committedly: physiotherapy, medical imaging department, nursing staff and all other.

- All understandable financial ambitions must stay combined with a true humanitarian and medical-ethical attitude of high standard.

- Active and creative participation in public-relation and marketing activities of the hospital concerning orthopedics and traumatology.

- Readiness to accept key-performance-parameters given by the Hospital Management.
