JOB DETAILS:

Global Data Technologies, a leading ICT solutions provider, is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the positions of Fiber Network Maintenance Engineer and Fiber Network Maintenance Technician to join our team in Dodoma. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of  fiber optic network systems to ensure efficient and reliable connectivity.

Key Responsibilities (for both positions):

• Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fiber optic networks
• Assist in the planning, design, and installation of new fiber optic infrastructure
• Perform fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and signal loss analysis
• Interpret technical drawings and network schematics
• Coordinate with field teams and clients to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in fiber optic network planning, design, installation, and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic transmission principles and tools
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in both field and office settings
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

For Fiber Network Maintenance Technician:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
• Telecommunication Engineering
• Computer Network Engineering
• Information Technology
• Computer Systems Engineering
• Or any related field
