Job Title: Music Instructor

Job Type: Part-Time

Location: Arusha, Tanzania

We are seeking a talented and passionate music instructor to join our team and teach our students in Arusha. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in music education, as well as experience teaching music to students of various ages (4 - 18 y) and skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans for piano, guitar, and vocal classes
• Teach students of all ages and skill levels
• Provide guidance and support to students, helping them to achieve their musical goals
• Organize and direct student performances and recitals
• Collaborate with other music instructors to develop and implement new teaching methods and programs
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed
• Conducting music theory and practical examinations
• Suggesting additions and improvements in the curriculum
• Coordinating with staff members in organizing extracurricular activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music or music education
• Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching music
• Fluency in English and the ability to effectively deliver music lessons in the language.
• Proficiency in piano, guitar, and vocal instruction
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and create a positive learning environment
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances and student needs
• Passion for music education and a commitment to student success
• Computer Literacy skills
