Montessori Learners is a pre-school located in Kawe Beach, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, that follows the Montessori method of education. This child-centered approach emphasizes independent learning within a carefully prepared environment, where children are free to explore materials at their own pace. The school promotes a mixed-age classroom setting, believing that older children benefit from assisting younger ones, while younger children are inspired by observing their older peers, fostering a sense of community and mutual respect.

The curriculum at Montessori Learners covers practical life skills, sensorial activities, language development, mathematics, and cultural studies, aiming to cater to a child’s natural curiosity and holistic development. They highlight the importance of allowing children to express themselves freely through various activities, including art and creativity. Montessori Learners is also associated with the broader Montessori Community of Tanzania (MCT), which has been promoting Montessori pedagogy in the country for decades, supporting teacher training and advocating for quality early childhood education.
