Working Experience:

2017 to date: Medical Officer National Insurance Company(NIC)
Duties include consultation of patients (outpatient’s clients), Verification and settlements of medical claims bills from Different hospitals across Tanzania. Implementing day to day activities including comprehensive supportive supervision to contracted health facilities on providing clinical TA. Site support visits with NIC team to all medical related activities to NIC staff country wide.
Participating in preparation, strategizing and regular review of Program direction by ensuring prioritization of priority indicators. Monitoring hospital bills/claims as guided in the contracts as well as close follows up of Health Budget implementation. Moreover, providing clinical Technical assistance and Leadership in Pediatrics, TB/HIV, EID and PMTCT to ensure provision of quality services to PLHIV. Also coordinating all activities on HIV AIDS prevention, awareness and non-communicable diseases.

Dec 2015- february2017: Enduleni Hospital:Medical Doctor &Coordinator, HIV/AIDS Home Based Care (HBC) Providers at TUPENDANE GROUP. Duties included, working collaboratively with CHMT to plan, facilitate, and implement harmonious availability of Pediatric HIV/AIDS treatment services including EID services and Home-Based HIV testing and Counseling. Through the use of Home-Based Care provider, I participated in scaling up pediatric HIV and AIDS services ensure early identification of new cases through HIV testing at RCHC. Close follow up to HBC on referral network for exposed infants and children as well as ensuring non-interrupted availability of Pediatric HIV commodities and retention to care and treatment through home follow-up. Participated in building capacities and providing Technical support to Home-Based care providers on core principles and approaches to HBC services and job aid. Gained practical experience and skills in managing activity funds, report writing.

Jan 2015-Nov 2015: Also I worked as volunteer on provision of health education against female circumcision and Home Delivering at Home at Ngorongoro District Council, Tanzania. I aimed at determining factors associated with female circumcision and Home Delivering uptake of household-based HIV Counselling and testing by WDH and perception of WDH of HBHCT and the perception’s influence on PMTCT service uptake as well as factors associated with successful PMTCT uptake and linkage to care among positive WDH. Duties included, scaling-up PMTCT service to women delivering at home (WDH), project tools development and data analysis.

Dec 2013 – Nov 2014: St. Francis Referral Hospital. Position: Medical Officer II. Worked in Pediatric and child health department, participating in assessment and management of children in the ward, emergency and outpatients. Conducting daily service ward rounds close follow up of patients’ investigations and treatments. Coordinating activities on primary prevention of HVI AIDS and non-communicable diseases at the work place.
Working closely with Hospital Management teams to design; implement strategies for improving the quality of Pediatric HIV services. Working closely with RCH in charge to develop Pediatric tools and clinical guidelines to ensure improved delivery of service to pediatric populations.

Management: Experience in managing activity funds, & work plans. Experience in recruitment of project support staff in rural areas.

Relationships: Liaised with authorities on matters related to project to ensure proper implementation of project activities and results as per project targets.
