ROLE: Medical Doctor

LOCATION: Dar es Salaam

REPORTS TO: Direct report to Chief Medical Officer, Tanzania

TYPE: Part-time

RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities include:

1. Inbound Calls

Inbound consultations

Inbound “Ask a BIMA Doctor” feature.

Chat consultations through the BIMA App.

2. Outbound Calls

Welcome calls.

BIMA initiated proactive WhatsApp chats.

BIMA initiated proactive consultations or health assessments.

Follow-up consultations of previous inbound calls.

Content generation of health content for health tips, BIMA App, or BIMA health programs.

THE CANDIDATE

The candidate must be.

• Holder of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or MBBS or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.

• Must have completed a one-year Internship at the recognized Health Facility

• Must be registered by the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT)as a Medical Doctor

• Must have a Valid practicing license and At least 2 years of clinical experience post qualification.

• Fluency in both English and Swahili is a must.

• Excellent knowledge of general health and chronic illness management.

• Strong customer care, organization, and telephone skills.

• IT skills: tech-oriented, good knowledge of key software (including Excel)

• Good interpersonal skills: good communication, leadership skills, passion, and engagement.

• Ability to work collaboratively, proactive, self-assured, and results oriented.
