 Mechanic

Role Overview: As a Mechanic at AMET Resources, you will work as part of a team responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of mine equipment and vehicles. The role is based at the AMET Mine site, located in Mopogoro Village, Chunya, Mbeya Region. This position involves working in a challenging and safety-sensitive environment, ensuring the equipment remains in optimal working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair mine equipment and vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks including inspections and oil changes.
• Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.
• Work on transmissions, hydraulic systems, and tyres for machinery.
• Collaborate with Mine Operations and Maintenance to maximize equipment availability.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
• Comply with safety, health, environmental, and other operational policies.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance, particularly in a mining environment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery and equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict safety protocols.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
