Duties and Responsibilities
• Managing the research component
• Dealing with Kiswahili language issues for foreigners.
• Provide guidance to writers and publishers of books on Good Writing.
• Coordinate workshops, seminars and meetings of language and literature committee.
• Supervising the work of mentoring high school and college students when they write professionally.
• He can be appointed head of department
• To perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by his supervisor

Qualification and Experience
• Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree in Literature, Language or Kiswahili Linguistics from a Government recognized college of higher education.
• At least eight years work experience
• Have written any article or book on Kiswahili literature or linguistics such as dissertation.
