JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
Machine Operator reporting to the Production Manager, is responsible for ensuring daily factory/ department operations are within the approved standards, overseeing cigarette manufacturing and maintaining supporting documents while assisting the Production Manager in his daily functions.

1. Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials

2. Operate or monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
3. Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment

4. Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of machines
5. Carrying out routine maintenance
6. Ensuring enough raw materials are fed into the machines
7. Conducting periodic checks on output efficiency
8. Gaining a thorough knowledge of a wide range of factory machinery and how it works
9. Provide required support and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines to concerned personnel.

10. Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisors
11. Learn, understand and follow company requirements for employee safety, product quality and productivity

12. Become aware of potential workplace hazards such as broken or malfunctioning machines and strive to ensure safety of self and others by reporting any hazards immediately
13. Learn and uphold company standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimize work efficiency. Strive to achieve company-specified production targets.

14. Keep workspace clean and organized to maximize safety and productivity. Offer suggestions for workspace improvement if needed.
15. Stay up to date on and closely observe assembly and maintenance instructions.
16. Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production
17. Assist the shop technicians and materials clerk as necessary
18. Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
