Summary
Global Leaf Tanzania Limited (GLT) is the registered Company dealing in buying and selling Tobacco inside and outside the Country. GLT registered in September, 2023 and operates in Tanzania under main two regions Shinyanga and Tabora. As new company in the industry we encourage others to join the course and grow together with the company.

Job Summary
The Logistic Officer deals with administration of all Logistics activities of the Company. Logistic officer will lead the logistic department providing and setting proper logistics procedures. Logistic officer will be responsible for preparing reports, and updates of all logistics activities as outlined in his job description and submit to the management.

Job Description
1. Provide guidance on general management of fleet, transportation and distribution.
2. Strengthen standardization and enforcement of fleet management procedures, guidelines and processes.
3. Analyze and disseminate information from fleet management system for management decision.
4. Ensure that all Company’s motor vehicles and motorcycles are properly insured in accordance with the set policies.
5. Promote and spearhead safety driving /riding of motorcycles and motor vehicles in the Company.
6. Review procedures and guidelines for warehouses within the Company.
7. Act as custodian of all stock across all warehouses including receiving, storing, issuing and reporting
8. Monitor procurement, shipping and receiving of tobacco and other stock materials.
9. Tracking of material deliveries, collection and storing of all shipments in a timely and cost effective manner.
10. Scheduling and coordinating stock taking and reporting.
11. Supplier evaluations and management.
12. Continuous improvement through aggressive cost and process improvement as expected and required.

Requirement:
1. Minimum of Degree in Logistic, Supply Chain, Procurement, Transport, Business/Public Administration or any related field.
2. Self-drive and high integrity.
3. Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field with ability to demonstrate practical competence knowledge in logistic and administration.
4. Good communication skills, and leadership skills.
5. Proficiency in computer skills and proper reporting.
