Lift technician

1. Background

Amplifi electrics ltd is looking to recruit a skilled Lift Technician to ensure the installation, maintenance, repair, and modernization of elevator and escalator systems across various projects. This role is critical for maintaining high safety standards, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

2. Objective

To engage a qualified Lift Technician who can perform technical duties related to lift systems' safe and efficient operation in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

3. Scope of Work

The Lift Technician will be responsible for:

Installing new lift and escalator systems according to design specifications.

Performing scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections.

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic lift faults.

Testing lifts for compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.

Performing modernization upgrades on existing lift systems.

Completing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate records.

Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.

Responding to emergency call-outs and breakdowns promptly.

Coordinating with supervisors, clients, and subcontractors as needed.

4. Key Deliverables

Properly installed and commissioned lift systems.

Regular maintenance reports and checklists.

Fault diagnosis and repair records.

Compliance certificates following inspections.

Safety incident reports (if any).

5. Qualifications and Experience Required

Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or relevant vocational training.

5years of proven experience in lift installation, maintenance, and repair.

Strong knowledge of lift safety codes and regulations (e.g., EN81, ASME A17.1).

Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.

Certification from a recognized body (optional but preferred).

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.

6. Reporting Line

The Lift Technician will report directly to the [Maintenance Manager / Project Manager / Technical Supervisor].

7. Duration

This full time position based in dar es salaam.
