Entities Supported: Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd, Azam Football Club, and other Group entities
Employment Type: Full-Time
Do you thrive in dynamic, high-impact environments? Are you a strategic legal thinker with the ability to work across multiple sectors? We’re looking for a Legal Manager to join our team and serve as the lead in-house legal advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial and sports-related contracts
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian corporate laws, food safety standards, employment regulations, and international sports laws (TFF, CAF, FIFA)
- Advise on regulatory matters, risk mitigation, and corporate governance
- Manage disputes and litigation efficiently and cost-effectively
- Support intellectual property and brand protection (especially for the football club)
- Serve as a strategic legal advisor to leadership teams
- Conduct training sessions on compliance, contract management, and legal risks

- Timely legal reviews and contract turnaround
- Zero regulatory non-compliance issues
- Cost-effective dispute resolution
- High internal stakeholder satisfaction
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation
Requirements
- LL.B from a recognized university (LL.M or PGD in Legal Practice is an advantage)
- Admitted Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania
- 5–7+ years of relevant experience, including in-house counsel roles
- Strong legal grounding in commercial, corporate law, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in FMCG/manufacturing or sports/entertainment industries preferred
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills (English & Swahili)
- High integrity, independence, and commercial acumen
