We are looking for Legal Counsel to join our growing team!

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Experienced individual contributor that requires minimal supervision
  • Develops and maintains legal team work overviews, keeps records of status of tasks and progress of various internal projects as necessary from time to time
  • Develops training presentations as required for various stakeholders regarding general contractual challenges, legal internal processes, internal communication and workflows as applicable to the contract negotiation and signing process
  • Responsible for various litigious and non-litigious matters, including coordination with various external law firms when required in specific cases
  • Advises on legal and regulatory risks involved in offering games to the gaming industry, including in new and emerging markets where regulations may not have been fully developed
  • Drafts, reviews and negotiates game licensing, various supplier agreements and intercompany agreements.
  • Drafts, reviews, negotiates and advises on key intellectual property licensing deals to procure compelling games content, patents, trademarks and designs for inclusion in our games portfolio.
  • Responsible for assessing legal risk and exposure, as well as proposing options of potential solutions to respective problems
  • Ensures periodic and accurate reporting of developments to line manager and executive management as required
  • Drafts, updates and reviews, under the supervision of line manager of the internal legal team processes
  • Raises awareness of internal stakeholders in relation to general legal and contract negotiation concerns, as well as various other areas
  • Various other responsibilities within their area of competence as the company may from time to time require

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of post-qualified legal experience
  • Inhouse legal counsel with experience from the gambling field desired
  • Strong legal writing, legal research and negotiation skills
  • Exposure to drafting and negotiation of international commercial agreements, familiar with intellectual property. Exposure to alternative dispute resolution methods is preferable, but not mandatory. Prior experience with corporate legal aspects is considered an advantage.
  • Good ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with others.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects to a high standard simultaneously.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills with solid business acumen is essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high pressure environment and to facilitate decision making
  • Some international travel may be required
