POSITION: - KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER
REF: - LT/01/2022/KAM
Laborex Tanzania Limited is a company dealing in importation, distribution and marketing of Pharmaceutical and Para pharmaceutical Products in Tanzania. It wishes to recruit One (1) Key Account Manager. The successful candidates will be based in Dar Es Salaam regions and will be reporting to the Branch Director.

Area of Responsibility:

  • Sales through Tenders and Quotations
  • Identify and source tenders either through existing relationships or through new potential clients.
  • Request funds to purchase tender documentation and account for the ‘spend’.
  • Collate and compile documentation required for tender purposes from across the organization (documents may include financial or resources documentation etc.) as well as from suppliers (e.g. certificates from suppliers, samples).
  • Notify suppliers of impending tender application.
  • Engage with supplier regarding pricing parameters.
  • Engage with suppliers’ medical representative regarding specific technical product related requirements.
  • Conduct margin analysis with Institutions Business head and thereafter seek approval from Branch Director. Update changes accordingly.
  • Compile all documentation from within Laborex and from the supplier and submit on time.
  • Utilize key institutions contacts to assist introduction, listing and development of Laborex New suppliers range of products
  • Implement defined action plans to liquidate short expiries and overstock items
  • Collections
  • Ensure debt recovery standards are met by proactively managing the number of days.
  • Continuously maintain open channels of communication with credit control regarding payment status.
  • Continuously maintain communication with the customer regarding payment.
  • Reporting
  • Ensure up to date reports planners and any other feedback are availed on sales force.
  • Spend 40% of time in field with sales force, coaching and developing, and engaging with customers.
  • Arrange and provide feedback during the weekly meeting with marketing team.
  • Supplier Relations
  • Maintain and/or establish relationships with supplier teams to provide market intelligence.
  • Provide supplier teams with feedback on the current status of their products in respective institutions/hospitals to guide their liquidation activities
  • Client Relations
  • Maintain and/or establish relationships with clients
  • Ensure client understands and sees the value of the Laborex offering.
  • Ensure that either the Institutions Business Head or Marketing Director participate in meetings with key clients.
    And performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time
    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
    • Increase in sales.
    • Achievement of sales target.
    • Listing of product(s) in the various points of sales.
    • Execution of the marketing plan.
    • Maintenance and building of strong customer relationships.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
    • Relevant science background Diploma of Science, Diploma of Pharmacy, Diploma of Clinical Medicine. An applicant with Bachelor Degree in the aforementioned related field will have an added advantage.
