On behalf of our client, a Group of Companies based in Dar Es Salaam owning major retail brand stores in more than 4 locations is currently seeking to recruit and hire a competent and skilled IT Officer/Technician to join the IT team.

Job Description
Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
Check computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
Work closely with IT team to implement IT policy and make sure all branches/offices are running smoothly on IT related issues
Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
Visit branch offices on regular basis to conduct installation/troubleshooting/maintenance activities

Qualifications
Minimum Bachelors in Information Technology (IT)
Must speak excellent English
Must have experience installing and maintaining IT hardware
Must have know-how on various Software installation, maintenance and yearly service plans
Minimum 2 years experience in a busy work environment
Must be comfortable with both Windows and Mac Operating Systems
Must have networking knowledge
